Fairmount Park Racetrack Casino Expansion involved the design of new gaming and support spaces beneath the existing grandstands at the Fairmount Park Racetrack in Collinsville, Illinois, part of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. The project included the creation of approximately 10,700 square feet of casino floor area accommodating roughly 250 slot machines, a 600-square-foot bar, a 2,000-square-foot entry promenade, and the renovation of approximately 8,000 square feet of office space. Existing grandstands, food service areas, restrooms, and remaining racetrack facilities remained in operation and were not modified. Unitas Engineering provided complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire protection, and low-voltage engineering services, delivering permit and construction documents for all newly programmed areas. The design incorporated new, dedicated HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems while coordinating with existing site utilities sized to support the expanded operations.
